LOOK AT THE BIRDS retreat at Launde Abbey

Expect to see a good range of woodland, parkland and farmland birds around the abbey including Green Woodpecker, Whitethroat and Yellowhammer. We also spend a full day at Rutland Water - a brilliant nature reserve with an impressive range of water birds, summering warblers and, above all, several pairs of Osprey!
Reverend Dale Hanson will be leading this special Even Sparrows retreat at Launde Abbey in spring. Dale is an accomplished bird photographer and is keen to share his expertise.
We will enjoy times of contemplative Christian worship, guided birdwatching walks and reflections on some of the birds featured in the Bible, such as doves, eagles and ravens.
The Abbey is a delightful Christian retreat and conference centre, close to Oakham in the East Midlands. It is located in historic parkland and surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside with several impressive ancient woodlands close by. It has lovely en-suite accommodation and wonderful cuisine which I personally recommend from our personal experiences since 2021.
